The Wollondilly Heritage Centre is run and staffed by volunteers from The Oaks Historical Society.
Volunteers are encouraged to assist with museum and tourism activities Opening Hours: every weekend and public holiday from 10am—4 pm Entry to museum is adults - $3.00, School age children - $1.00 Closed Christmas until Australia Day and Good Friday
Mid-week tours are welcome by pre-booking with the Booking Officer on 46571224. A special program ‘Discover your heritage’ includes a home cooked Devonshire tea, DVD presentation and museum tour and costs $8 per person.
Primary schools can book for a ‘Hands-on-History’ interactive tour at $5 per student which is geared to the school curriculum.
Allow approximately two hours for the best result. A barbecue is available for self catered lunches.

Volunteers needed: Education group. People to work on Thursdays during term time using museum objects to demonstrate domestic technology (making butter, washing, ironing) agricultural machinery (grading apples, washing eggs) and teaching in a bush school. No experience necessary – just a sense of humour! Coach hostesses. People to work on flexible time scale to cook slices and biscuits for visiting coach groups, serve morning tea and serve in the shop.
